- 24 oz frozen tater tots
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup Sloppy Joe sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and green bell pepper until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart and cooking until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce and simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Spread tater tots on the prepared baking sheet, top with the Sloppy Joe mixture, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
