Description

A delicious and easy casserole combining crispy tater tots with a savory Sloppy Joe filling and gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • 24 oz frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup Sloppy Joe sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and green bell pepper until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart and cooking until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  4. Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce and simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. Spread tater tots on the prepared baking sheet, top with the Sloppy Joe mixture, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
