Description

Delicious and easy-to-make peanut butter cookies that are soft and chewy.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together peanut butter, softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, place them on the baking sheet, and create criss-cross patterns with a fork.
  6. Bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow cooling on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
