Delicious soft dinner rolls filled with a sweet cream cheese filling and soaked in a garlic butter sauce.

- 200g cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- 4 soft dinner rolls or small round buns
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Transfer to a piping bag or zip-lock bag with the corner snipped off. Chill slightly to firm up if needed.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, honey, milk, egg, and chopped parsley. Stir well until fully blended. This mixture will soak the bread and infuse it with that signature sweet-savory flavor.
- Using a sharp knife, slice each bread roll into 6 or 8 wedges, like you’re cutting a pie, but don’t cut all the way through. The bottom should remain intact to hold everything together.
- Gently open each wedge and pipe the sweet cream cheese filling into the slits, ensuring every section gets a creamy center. Be generous!
- Dip each stuffed roll into the garlic butter mixture. Make sure the bread is well coated—let the buttery glaze seep into every crevice. Alternatively, use a spoon to pour the mixture over the rolls.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the prepared rolls on a lined baking tray and bake for 15–20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cream cheese is slightly set. Let them cool slightly before serving, but they’re best enjoyed warm, when the cheese is gooey and the garlic butter is still fragrant.
