- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Dutch process cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the peanut butter filling by mixing peanut butter, powdered sugar, and ground cinnamon until smooth. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter with brown and white sugars; mix until well combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop dough, flatten slightly, place a tablespoon of peanut butter filling in the center, fold over, and roll into a ball.
- Bake on parchment-lined sheets for about 12–15 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Cool on racks before serving.
Notes
- For best results, refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes before baking to help the cookies hold their shape.
